You have been asked by your manager to configure a port for a new WAP to be installed for your WLC. How should you configure the port?

When installing a wireless access point onto a WLC, the port should be configured as a trunk port. Configuring the port as a trunk port will allow management traffic and data traffic to be tagged. This type of configuration will also future-proof the design for additional networks in the future. Wireless access points are configured with access ports when a controller is not being used and the AP is running in an autonomous mode. There is no such thing as a wireless port configuration. Configuring the port as a LAG port is not possible since APs normally only have one interface and LAGs require two or more for aggregation.
