Bring your own device (BYOD) leaves the choice of device in the hands of the end user. Since the device is the end user’s device, it often means that the organization has less, if any, control over the device. Corporate-owned, personally enabled (COPE) allows users to use organizationally owned devices for their own use. Choose your own device (CYOD) lets users choose a device that the organization owns. COBO, or company-owned, business-only, is a model that only allows business use of business-provided devices.
