What type of artificial intelligence is ChatGPT?

ChatGPT and many other GPT models are generative pretrained transformer artificial intelligence models. Machine learning does not transform outcomes. Predictive artificial intelligence uses historical data to predict an outcome. Although GPT models are generative artificial intelligence in nature, generative artificial intelligence will not transform by itself.
